My Vision: Fuelblue, Me, You

I would describe myself as an incurable entrepreneur and optimist. I founded Fuelblue as a graphic design studio in 1997, with core service offerings in logo and web site design. But over the years it has become much more than that. It’s become my base - my central hub from which I continually push the envelope of what’s possible for me to design and create.
I wish I could say that Fuelblue’s meaning and importance to me was always obvious and never wavered. I wish I could say it’s been an easy, smooth ride. But I can say I have a sincere passion for helping other entrepreneurs like you tap into your core genius, see your business in its perfection, and project that image of perfection outward to your audience.
I’m certainly not the designer for everyone. Over the years I’ve learned that the best client for me is more like a partner - someone who wants to work with me in the long term to continually design, nurture, tweak and massage their brand image. A brand image is not something you draw, slap on a business card and call it a day. The ins and outs of your business change over time, and so your message and image must steadily flow with those changes to reflect what’s happening now.
This doesn’t mean redesigning your logo every year. It means carefully reviewing what your marketing material looks like and says about you, determining whether yesterday’s message still reflects today’s values, and having the courage to make the changes.
I understand the trials we entrepreneurs face everyday. I understand the balancing acts we undergo between work and home life; between putting out fires all day and building the business you set out to develop in the first place; between dealing with “what is” and turning your business into the one you imagined it could be. You have a vision. You have a dream. You have ideas that could elevate your business to new, possibly extreme heights.
I have the talents to help you get there.
I can’t do it myself, I need your help. My job is not to design logos and web sites. My job is to tap into that vision you have of your business and help you draw it out into reality. My job is to help you see with your eyes what you’ve only seen in your mind. My job is to create the tools that will allow everyone else - your customers, prospects, vendors, employees - to see it too. Because when you are projecting that vision outward, everything changes. The way you feel about your business changes. The way you interact with others changes. And the way they interact with you changes too.
My mission.
I define my mission in life as being “to entertain and inspire others to be conscious of people, planet and prosperity.”
I work on several projects for myself, with Fuelblue being the central hub for all of them. Through my work in Fuelblue, I am doing much to satisfy my mission to inspire. I feel as though inspiration is the true service I am providing for my clients. Inspiration to be all you can be; inspiration to have the courage to project your true core genius and brand image, not just the one you think others expect for you; inspiration to truly elevate your business to the levels of passion and prosperity that pushed you to become an entrepreneur in the first place.
My vision.
My vision for Fuelblue has changed over the years. As I mentioned, I started the company in 1997 designing logos and web sites because I could. Today, I feel the logos and web sites are value adds to what I really work to provide.
I see my job as being a strategic partner for my clients: working to nurture your brand image as your vision changes; helping you stay up-to-date on the rapid changes and advancements in Internet marketing technology; sharing new ideas for marketing yourself to grow your business; brainstorming to create new products, new services, and new avenues for growth.
You and me.
If you are an entrepreneur, business owner, CEO (pick your own label) and you can see the value in a relationship like the one I’ve described here, then I’d love to talk with you. I’m not a one-size-fits-all designer. So here are some ways to know if there might be a fit between us:
If you are looking to create a game changing startup and want to shine coming out of the gate, then we might be a good fit.
If you already have an existing business and want to change its brand image in some way to better reflect your vision, then we might be a good fit.
If this is all new to you and you need to work with someone who can guide you through the technical aspects (without all the tech speak) then we might be a good fit.
If you can understand that I’m not the cheapest designer, and that I see my job not as drawing a pretty picture, but bringing your vision to life and helping you achieve your real business objectives, then we might be a good fit.
I’m willing to explore a potential fit if you are. Just call or email me.

A little more about me.
In case you were expecting a dry recount of my life and business on this page, sorry to disappoint. But I will share some interesting facts about myself here.
Fuelblue is my hub, but I also love to create entertaining and inspirational works, including tv shows, books and music. I believes that the key to success is to utilize your core genius, and turn your passion into a business.
I wrote some book. In my latest, Be a Rock Star! Connecting to Your Soul & Creating the Life You Want, I get pretty deep into the teachings of Law of Attraction, and chronicle my own personal journey through life and business. This journey continues through my Be A Rock Star blog, and accompanying web tv show. The show follows my goals and progress, and spotlights like-minded people who are living their dreams as well.
I’m also the cofounder and creative director of Planet Bonehead. With my partner Patti Romano, I developed an ongoing DVD series which is being used in classrooms throughout the US to teach elementary aged students about the environment. To date we’ve partnered with 5 of the world’s leading educational distribution companies to bring DVDs and streaming episodes into classrooms worldwide. And this year, with our new Fortune 500 partner Cummins International, we are launching a global campaign to use Planet Bonehead episodes in an ambitious educational program in which Cummins employees will teach kids in classrooms all over the planet.
But my biggest passion is my family. I’m married to Laura Donohue, and together we have 2 children, Kaila and Luke. Laura and I designed these businesses so I can work from home, and have the time I desire to spend with my family. My businesses are my creative outlet, which I use to entertain and inspire others. My reward is the home and life I share with my family in Long Island, NY.
